Rebecca "Becka" Lynn Fast

August 15, 1983 — January 23, 2021

Indianapolis

Rebecca “Becka” Lynn Fast, 37, of Indianapolis, found peace in the early morning hours of Saturday, January 23, 2021.

She was born August 15, 1983 to Gregory J and Donna (Bradford) Nichols in Indianapolis, and was raised in Plainfield.  She attended Plainfield Schools and graduated from Danville High School.  She also took classes at Ivy Tech and photography classes in Broad Ripple.

Throughout her life, Becka enjoyed gymnastics, diving, go-karting, swimming, fishing, camping, both of her grandma’s cooking, and photography. She also loved her music and was a race car fan. Mostly, Becka loved the sense of family, the shared moments and creating memories.  She liked the feeling of belonging… of being loved… of normal.

Becka worked at Burger King in Avon, and over the years, she had been an assistant manager at the Dollar Tree, a call center pharmacy tech for Medicaid of Indiana, and line worker at Maplehurst in Brownsburg.

She will be best remembered for her hard headedness, quick wit, sense of humor, the occasional bizarre sense of fashion, and how she was always “grazing” on food.  Becka adored children because of their curiosity and honesty, senior citizens because they were just “cool” and animals, especially dogs, because of their unconditional love.

She is survived by her parents; sister, Elizabeth; brother, Austin; grandma, Chikako Bradford; grandma, Reta Nichols; uncle, Scott Bradford; and cousins, Holly and Heather.  She also leaves behind the beloved Miller clan; the Sears family; the Akers family; honorary aunts, Brenda Simpson, Sasha Gillespie, Lou Ann Wager; and her spoiled cat, Mr. Meowsers, who made her heart happy. She kept several other people who weaved in and out of her life over the years in her heart. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Dean Bradford; grandpa, James “Nick” Nichols; aunt, Karen Bradley; and cousin, Chad Fondren.

There will be no services, but please remember her with a smile or a chuckle from a memory and say an occasional prayer on her behalf.  She was not perfect, but she was beautiful and loved.
