Rex Dowell Landis

Rex Dowell Landis III, 64, of Indianapolis, died October 15, 2014. He was born to Elizabeth Landis and the late Rex D. Landis II in Indianapolis. Rex attended Brebeuf Preparatory School and briefly attended theUniversity of Portland as well as served in the Navy before returning home to marry the late Katherine H. Landis in 1971. Rex's passion was building and creating, spending his life in the construction business before retiring.
He is survived by two children, Heather Valade of Marblehead, MA and Rex D. Landis IV of Carmel, IN. Rex is also survived by 4 grandchildren and his siblings, Kathleen and Cheryl.
A calling and mass will be held at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Indianapolis beginning at 2:30pm on November 8, 2014. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Rex's honor. Arrangements entrusted to A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services.
