71, of Indianapolis, passed away March 12, 2018. He was born in Linton, IN on May 9, 1946 to Robert and Virginia Bach. Bob graduated in 1964 from George Washington High School in Indianapolis, IN.
He then joined the Navy, served as an Air Crewman in Patrol Squadron 46 in Vietnam. Later, Bob worked as a computer programmer and analyst for Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Physicians Practice Management, and National Data Corp, as well as for FedEx and Eagle Creek Golf Course. Bob was a proud member of VFW Post #98 and American Legion Post #500. Bob loved and enjoyed everything about life.
From soaring high in the sky and jumping out of airplanes to scuba diving in the deep blue ocean. His favorite vacations were to any tropical location that had the beach, salty air and a good cold beer. He especially had a fondness of watching a beautiful sunset and listening to a good rain storm. Many of his days were filled with simple pleasures such as golfing, gardening and enjoying the company of those he cared for most. Bob was a very special person. A man of his word, kind, funny and brave. He was a thoughtful gift giver, a proud papa and always the life of the party. He lived his life with no regrets, had a heart of gold and was loved by many.
Bob will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Mary Ann Bach; daughter, Marne (Brandon) Williams; grandchildren, Kingston and Lincoln Williams; sister, Judy (Si) Trammell; and many nieces, nephews and dear family and friends. Bob was the best father to his only daughter, Marne, and they meant the world to each other. Bob was also the love of Mary Ann's life and her best friend. They showed each other what true love was.
A Celebration of Life will be held at The Country Club of Indianapolis on Saturday, March 31st from the hours of 1:00 - 4:00PM. Military honors will be held at 3:00PM.
