Robert Lloyd Garris,
60 of New Palestine, Indiana, went home to be with his Lord Jesus on October 25, 2013. He was born in Statesville, North Carolina on November 10, 1952 to Roy and Lillie Garris. He proudly served in the US Navy from 1969-1971. Lloyd was a member of IBEW and traveled to Cedar Rapids, IA to oversee the building of a nuclear plant there. He attended and taught electrical engineering at Iowa State University before becoming a Journeyman Farrier in Tennessee.
He was an avid fisherman, and loved horses and flying RC Airplanes. Robert was a true outdoorsman, hobbyist, and enjoyed playing his banjo for others, but above all, he was a family man who loved his wife and children. He is survived by his wife, Terri; children, Heath (Lindsey), Kayla, Robert, Angel, and Crystal Garris; mother, Marie (Joe) Stafford; and siblings, Mary High, Louise Millsaps, Sylvia Fox, Barbara Neese, Melissa Tucker, and Danny Garris.
