Robert Glen Poppleton,
87 of Carmel, passed away March 7, 2017. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Russel and Martha Poppleton on March 8, 1929. He was a graduate of Grove City College. Robert proudly served his country in counter-intelligence during WWII. He worked for many years as a life insurance agent.
Robert is survived by his wife, Gertrude; and son, Eric Poppleton. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa.
A memorial service will be held at St. Francis In-The-Fields Episcopal Church, 1525 Mulberry Street, Zionsville, IN 46077, on Saturday, March 25th at 2 PM. A reception will follow.
