Robin Emrick

October 5, 1965 — February 8, 2014

Robin Emrick
48 years of age, passed away February 8, 2014 from Parkinsonism, a degenerative brain condition for which, at present, there is no known cause or cure.
Robin was born in Washington, DC, October 5, 1965. She attended Holy Cross High School in Kennsington, MD (Class of 1983) and was a graduate of Denison University (Class of 1987). At Denison, Robin was an active member of Delta Delta Delta sorority and many other campus organizations.
After graduation Robin built a career in the Financial Services industry working at Ferris Baker Watts, Fifth Third Bank and Merrill Lynch. Robin and her husband Tony were married in 1991 at St. Mathews Cathedral in Washington, DC. Robin and Tony lived in Chicago and Cincinnati before settling in Indianapolis in 1994. After Merrill Lynch, Robin turned her focus to her family. She participated in many school and local organizations and rarely missed any of her children's activities.
Robin enjoyed traveling with her family; spending many Thanksgivings and Spring Breaks in Vail, Colorado.
Robin was the ultimate pleaser. She always made sure that her family and friends were more than adequately accommodated. She was a wonderful daughter, wife, mother and aunt. She is survived by her loving and devoted family; her husband of 22 years Anthony "Tony"; children, Trevor and Taylor; parents Harold "Sonny" Althouse and Martha Gibson (Dr. Marvin Gibson); siblings Monica (Jason) Benderly, Bill (Gwen) Gibson, John Gibson, Barbara (Robert) Gaw; mother-in-law Ruth Emrick; sisters-in-law Ann(Charlie) Shoup, Susan (Donnie) Nichols and Jan (Joe) Green; brother-in-law David (Kim) Emrick and nieces, nephews and cousins scattered throughout the country who all count Robin as a positive influence in their lives.
Robin was preceded in death by her father-in-law James Emrick, brother-in-law Jack Emrick and by Watson T. Scott who was like a father to Robin.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 12, 2014 from 4-6pm at Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 14598 Oak Ridge Road, Carmel, Indiana 46032 with services beginning at 6:00pm.
