Roger Lloyd Munsey

Roger Lloyd Munsey,
age 67, passed away peacefully February 12, 2016 at 11:25 PM. After graduation from Beech Grove High School in 1967, he joined the U.S. Navy, serving during the Vietnam Conflict on the USS Rainier, an ammunition ship. He was employed by Allison's Transmission, retiring after 30 years. He was an avid race car fan and even participated in some local races. He also was a big football fan.
Roger is survived by his siblings, Janice Munsey Black and Charles D. Munsey II; daughters, Crystal Chaudion and Celeste (Sam) Schmutte; 8 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; aunt, Fran Shull; cousins, Diana Schelle and Juanita Stone; and close family friend, Lee Holder.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Charles D. Munsey I; and mother, Helen Hinton Munsey.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, February 28th at the Beech Grove United Methodist Church at 3 PM. A visitation will be from 1 PM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wounded Warriors or the American Humane Society.
