Ronald "Ronnie" Eugene Burton, 62, of Brownsburg, IN., formerly of Carmi, IL., passed away Sunday, March 9, 2014. Ronnie was born Dec. 1, 1951, in Cairo IL., the son of Elza and Margie (Johnson) Burton.
Ronnie was a train conductor who worked for Baltimore & Ohio Railroad for 15 years. Ronnie served for the Armed Forces of the United States of America. He was an avid reader, diehard Dolphin fan, and all-around sportsman. He also loved horseracing, NASCAR, and playing Rook. Ronnie enjoyed spending time with friends and family, who will miss him very much.
Ronnie is survived by his son, Richard Elza Burton; daughter-in-law, Kristine S. Costello-Burton; daughter, Ronda Dennie Burton-Rice; son-in-law, Steven M. Rice; only surviving brother, Herman Jean Burton; former spouse, Kathy Jane Morgan-Burton; and grandchildren, Nicolette Diane Browning, Alec Eugene Burton, Serenity Jane Burton, and Brandon Lee Rice. He is very much loved and remembered by all.
