Rosalind Faye Trabue Johnson (Rozzi) , the eldest child of Dorothy Mae and Chester Arthur Trabue, made her heavenly transition on November 19, 2022 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Born on August 21, 1936, Rozzi was educated in the Indianapolis Public Schools attending School #19 and graduating in 1954 from Emmerich Manual High School. After graduating Rozzi attended Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana.
Rozzi professed her faith in Christ at an early age at Garfield Baptist Church. In her adult years, she united with Second Christian Church which later became Light of the World Christian Church.
Rozzi united in marriage to her husband, Ludwig W. Johnson, in 1955. To this union two children were born, Cheryl (1956) and Eric (1960). Rozzi and Ludwig shared 66 years of marriage.
Rozzi was employed by Indiana Bell Telephone, which later became American Telephone & Telegraph, working as a supervisor of engineering. She retired after 35 years of service. After retiring, she embarked upon another career in the travel industry. Rozzi also worked part-time at Shell Oil Company as a financial agent.
In her younger years, Rozzi loved to skate. Rozzi’s ultimate passion was shopping and traveling. She loved sharing trips with family and friends. She journeyed to Europe, Mexico, California, Jamaica and took three cruises. She was a long time and committed member of the Guess Who Club.
Rozzi’s aim in life was to create a path of success and happiness for her children and grandchildren. Her interaction with her grandchildren and, most recently, her great-grandchildren rendered her a total sense of fulfillment.
Rozzi was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mae Carter Trabue; father, Chester Arthur Trabue and husband, Ludwig William Johnson, Jr.
Rozzi leaves cherished memories for her daughter, Cheryl Hall (Carl); son, Eric Johnson; six grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Ranna; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Roderic D. Trabue (Judi); nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
Rozzi is safely home in Heaven as she joined the Lord with humble submission. We can only imagine the joy of the reunion with the Lord and her late husband!
