Rose Rappaport,
of Indianapolis, passed away on July 30, 2017. She was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and moved to Indianapolis in 1954 after meeting and becoming engaged to her husband, Harold, whom she met during his business trip to New York City.
Rose immediately transitioned to life in the Midwest and fully embraced Indianapolis as her new home. She and her husband were residents of the Windcombe neighborhood for over 50 years.
Rose began her business career in real estate as a salesperson and then became a broker. Her outgoing personality, depth of real estate knowledge and her personal touch made for a successful career for over 30 years.
A competitive swimmer and swim instructor in her youth, she particularly enjoyed swimming and waterfront activities. Her other interests included music, theatre, painting, and reading. She was a reading tutor for children in the Washington Township elementary schools.
Both Rose and her husband, who predeceased her, were devoted to their children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
