Rosita T. Zukerman, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away in the early morning hours on Friday, April 25, 2025. She passed peacefully despite an extended illness in the final months of her life.
Rosita was born on January 11, 1941, to the late Max and Helen Frankovitz Toiber in Indianapolis, Indiana and was one of five siblings.
She graduated from Shortridge High School then studied at Butler University before moving on to study and work at the IU School of Dentistry. Although Rosita thoroughly enjoyed many years as a chairside assistant and dental hygienist, she also continued operating a bath shop business, Unique Bath Boutique, established by her mother.
Rosita was a lifelong member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck and active in the City of Hope and BBYO.
Rosita is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Allan Zukerman, her devoted children Marisa Zukerman (Mark Vandersall) and Stephen Zukerman (LuAnn Calvert), her cherished grandchildren Harrison and Max Zukerman, her loving siblings Saundra Azmitia, Shelley Kulchin, Gary Dubow (who preceded her in death) and David (Jenny) Dubow, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, April 27, 2025, at 2pm at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, 11411 N. Michigan Road, Zionsville, IN 46077. Burial will follow in Beth-El Zedeck’s Southside cemetery with shivah from 6-8pm at Marisa Zukerman's residence.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Hasten Hebrew Academy of Indianapolis.
Many thanks to the staff at Marquette Manor who were kind and gracious providing compassionate care to Rosita in the final months of her life.
