The Spirit of Bernice

Bernice (also known as Mom, Grandma and GG) was born March 29, 1930 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed away June 1, 2019. Bernice lived with her daughter, Beth Ann, and son-in-law, Buz, in Brownsburg, Indiana at the time of her passing.

Bernice was the daughter of Loren and Ruthie Stratton and was reared by her aunt and uncle, “Teen” and Bob Boles. She was married to William Marvel Sr. for 26 years and together they had 4 children. Besides her parents and her aunt and uncle, she was preceded in death by son, William “Billy” Marvel, Jr; and her second husband, Kenny Hahn.

Surviving are her children, Bradley Marvel (Ma Ria), Beth Marvel Lewis (Edward) and Brady James Marvel; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and several step-children from her marriage to Kenny Hahn.

Her favorite saying was, “I love you - whole town, world and infinity.”
