Sarah Rickie Cohen

Rickie, daughter of Simon and Allegra Baruch, passed away on October 31st, 2016. A lifelong resident of Indianapolis, Rickie attended Manual High School.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend to anyone who knew her, She had a quick wit and made people laugh. She was an outstanding Sephardic cook, loved shopping and loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren with all her heart.

Rickie was a lifelong member of Deborah Sisterhood.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Huddleston (Rick), Alan Cohen (Lindsey), and Judy Edwards (Scott); and grandchildren, Stephanie Christiansen, Allison Cohen, Julie Wilson (Gabe), Meredith Cohen, Stacy Edwards, Jonathan Huddleston and Justin Edwards. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Stella and Jack, were a special joy to her. She will be missed by all her brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces and cousin, Tillie Calderon. Her sisters who preceded her death were Rae Aroesty and Lee Levy.

Special thanks to LaRahya Jordan and the staff at Senior Home Companions and Marquette Manor Assisted Living who cared for her.

Services will be held on Thursday, at 1 PM at Etz Chaim Sephardic Congregation, 6939 Hoover Road, followed by Graveside Services at Etz Chaim West Street Cemetery.

The family will sit Shiva at Alan and Lindsey's home, 9048 Buckeye Court, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Evening services will be at 6:15 PM.
