Selma Greenstein Stein

Beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on June 27, 2017 at the age of 92. Selma was born on April 3, 1925 to Joseph and Anna Greenstein in Allentown, PA. She was a long-time member of Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation.

Selma is survived by her loving family which includes her children, Larry (Dona) Stein, Arnie (Karen) Stein, Dr. Beverly Harrison (Bob Glenn) and Jeffrey (Margaret) Stein; 8 grandchildren, Missy and Andy Stevens, Joe and Donna Stein, Brian and Amy Stein, Jill and Vitaly Vishnitsky, Julie and Jeff Kniptash, Stacy and Eli Isaacs, and Melanie and Chris Canal; 17 great-grandchildren, Jacob and Haley Stevens, Kelsey, Courtney, Ryan and Caroline Stein, Colby and Josie Stein, Zoe and Lexi Vishnitsky, Parker and Reese Kniptash, Lilah Isaacs, and Kenny, Brody, Trevor and Kendall Canal; brother, Sam "Butchie" Greenstein; and sisters, Ruth Freeman, Leah Wilens, Sarah Wishnia and Joyce Fivel.

Selma was preceded in death by her husband, Nathan; her brother, Abe Greenstein; and sister, Esther Winer.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 3:00 PM in Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation Cemetery North, 100 West 161st Street.
