Sharon Ann (Holmes) Pickering

Sharon Ann Holmes Pickering,

78, of Indianapolis, passed away June 3, 2021.  She was born in Los Angeles, CA to Carl and Mary Holmes on October 18, 1942.  Sharon worked at Kroger Supermarkets as a cake decorator for many years.

She is survived by her children, Gerald Pickering of Indianapolis, Joseph Carlisle of Fort Myers, FL, and Anita Burton of Martinsville, IN; 9 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Holmes of Oden, IN.  Sharon was preceded in death by her siblings, David Holmes and Glenda Lucas; as well as by her companion, Fredrick Arthur.

Services will be held privately.  Sharon was an animal lover so the family has requested that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society .
