Shaya B. Solyar

Shaya B. Solyar,
88, of Indianapolis, passed away January 25, 2017. He was the son of the late Benyamin and Leika Solyar. Shaya was a construction manager and proudly managed over two hundred workers in the Soviet Union.
He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather and friend who loved both sports and politics. Shaya was also a member of the JCC for over 23 years.
Shaya is survived by his beloved wife, Era; children, Lina Pekar and Yefrem Solyar; son-in-law, Yefrem Pekar; grandchildren, Yakov Pekar and Elizabeth Pekar; great-grandchild, Gershon Pekar; and sister, Esther Cherkasskiy.
Funeral services will be held Friday, January 27th at 1 PM at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 North Michigan Road. Burial will follow in Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation North Cemetery.
