Dr. Sheila Clancy Ewing,
65, died Tuesday, June 4th,2013 at Community North Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Dr. Ewing was born in Pittsburgh, PA to Robert and Patricia Clancy. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts in English from LaRoche College in Pittsburgh, PA, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, PA, and a Master of Arts in English from North Carolina State University in North Carolina, Dr. Ewing earned a Doctorate of Philosophy in Education from Purdue University in Indiana. At the time of her death, Dr. Ewing was the Director of Grants and Assessments for the Metropolitan School District of Washington Township.
Dr. Ewing won many awards and recognition for her excellence, service, and dedication from the educational system to whom she dedicated her passion, talent, and skills.
Sheila Ewing lost her beloved husband, David Paul Ewing, on August 4th, 2012, after being married for 37 years. She is survived by her four siblings, Robert Clancy, Patrick Clancy, Timothy Clancy and Kathleen Ashe; sisters and brothers-in-law; several nieces and nephews; and her loving pit-bull, Ruby.
Sheila will be deeply missed by her family, colleagues, and the educational community she served.
