Sheila Mae Lindsey, 73 of Coatesville, IN passed away August 22, 2012; after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born In Fort Wayne, IN on December 1, 1938 to Dale and Viola Besheres.
Sheila is survived by her loving family: husband, Richard; children: Jo (Andrew) Sharp of South Bend, IN, Lisa (Chuck) Gold of Indianapolis, IN, and Cregg (Lynn) Fox of Beech Grove, IN. Five grandchildren; Adrian Mae (Tim) Jennings, Scott Goodson, Tim Fox, and Noah Gold; three great grandchildren; Skylar, Brooklynn, and Braden.
Sheila was a graduate of Central High School in South Bend, IN. She worked for the Breast Cancer Center of Indiana for many years and retired from the New Life Associates.
Family was paramount to Sheila. Time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren brightened her days. She was their cheerleader. She supported them through any adventure they would dare take on.
She was a member of the Heritage Lake Quilt Club. She designed and enjoyed making quilts for all of her family members.
Sheila and her husband enjoyed taking cruises and traveling to many places; Mexico, Spain, Hawaii, and San Diego, were some of her favorite destinations.
She was loved by all who knew her. She made everyone feel welcome into her home. Shelia had a way of always putting others people's needs before her own. The world would be a much more peaceful place if everyone was as thoughtful and considerate as she was. Her beautiful smile will be missed every day.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday August 28, 2012 at 11:00 am with visitation from 10:00 until 11:00 am at St. Andrews Lutheran Church, 6118 Crawfordville Rd. Indianapolis, IN.
