Sherrie Marlene Wilson

April 9, 1950 — May 16, 2012

We celebrate the life of Sherrie Marlene Wilson. Her journey began on April 9, 1950 in the small town of Muncie, IN . She was known for her big heart and caring ways. Sherrie was a beautiful mother, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend. No matter how tough life's obstacles, she always managed to think of others first. Whether it was making sure the coffee was ready for her twin sister every morning or whipping up one of her famous meatloaves for all to enjoy. You knew you could always count on "mom". She enjoyed the simple treasures of life, like a person's smile and a good laugh. Unfortunately for all of us and everyone that knew her, on May 16, 2012, God decided her earthly journey had come to an end. Surrounded by her loving family at the old home place, she was released to the angels and ascended to her Heavenly Home.

She is preceded in death by her father, Alfred; the father of her children, David; and her long time companion, Hershel. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Harry); son, Chris (Brenda); mother, Constance; brother, Rod (Nancy); twin sister, Terrie (Woody); sisters, Penny (Haroon) and Sandy (John); six grandsons, Andrew, Derrick, Dion, Shea, Jordan and William; nephews and nieces, Jason (Brandy), Misty (Jamie), Josh (Sara), Drew and Seth; great nieces and nephews, Jordan, Clarissa (Monkey), JJ, Jalynn (Teedi-Toddi), and Noelle (Lil Nell).

Our family would like to thank St. Johns Hospital, especially Dr. Brooks Parker, 5 South RN Joe, and Hospice nurse Tara for their wonderful care and compassion during this heartbreakingly brief illness. Our sorrow is not without hope, knowing we will all be together again in our eternal Heavenly Home. We thank God that He has allowed us to share our lives with such a beautiful soul, which will continue to live on through her devoted and loving twin, Terrie.

Per Sherrie's request, there will be a private memorial service at a later date.

Arrangements entrusted to A.R.N. Cremation Services.
