Stanley David Feezle

March 4, 1935- August 25, 2018

83, of Carmel, entered into eternal rest on August 25, 2018. He was born in Indianapolis on March 4, 1935 to Stanley Selma and Anna Louise Feezle. Stanley attended Shortridge High School and Butler University. He was a co-owner of the Sign Group, a manufacturer of signs and scoreboards.

Stanley was an avid golfer and a long-time member of Greentree and Twin Lakes Country Clubs. He played golf daily if weather permitted and was known as "Mighty Mouse" by his fellow golfers, because of his small stature and powerful drives. However, he wasn't known as a good putter. In 1974, after mentally mastering the skill of putting, he became a scratch handicap golfer. While playing in the 500 Festival Open Invitation, a professional golf tournament on the PGA Tour, Stanley had the thrill of a hole-in-one twice in three days. He extended his enjoyment of the game by sharing his skills with family members and mentoring young golfers.

Stan was a generous compassionate man. The last 37 years of his life, he adopted residents without families at the Greenbriar Nursing Home at Christmas time. He purchased gifts, organized wrapping parties, and recruited his crew of elves to spend time with each patient as they opened their gifts. Stan had a way of making people feel special and loved. Similarly, he always carried a $10 bill in his pocket, so he could perform random acts of kindness. Whether it be a young mom with kids, someone at the gas station looking down and out, or the bag boy or girl at the grocery store. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, people carry on this tradition or donate to www.BoysTown.org.

Stanley loved to travel and have adventures with friends and family. He especially liked Belize, the Cayman Island, and Hawaii where he swam with sting rays, played golf, went boating, and delighted in spending time with the local people to understand their culture. He also enjoyed many cruises throughout the Caribbean and trips to Las Vegas to play craps.

He is survived by wife, Lori St. Dennis-Feezle; children, Jeffrey Feezle, Steven Feezle, and Jennifer Feezle-Kooper; siblings, James Feezle and Anne Beadell. Stanley was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert, Richard and Jackie Feezle; sisters, Elizabeth "Bitsy" Landis and Jane Noble.
