Stanley J. Greissman, 98, of Indianapolis, IN, passed away on November 1, 2024. He was born on April 4, 1926, to the late Harry and Celia Neuwirth Greissman in Brooklyn, New York.
Stanley graduated from the New York University School of Engineering, where he laid the foundation for his successful career. His passion for engineering was evident in his work and in the mentorship he provided to many young engineers entering the field.
He dedicated 35 years of his life to the field, with a significant part of it spent working with Bechtel Group in New York and Louisville, Kentucky. His expertise and engineering commitment exemplify his status as a Registered Professional Engineer.
A proud Army veteran, Stanley served his country from 1943 to 1946 during a pivotal time in history. His service shaped many of the values he carried throughout his life, including discipline, resilience, and a steadfast commitment to excellence. Stan was a devoted member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck and Jewish War Veterans.
Stanley is survived by his loving daughters, Carol Greissman and Aimee Greissman Bache, son-in-law, Ron Bache, and his grandson, Nathan Alexander Bache.
Preceding him in death was his cherished wife, Frances L. Marcus Greissman, whose memory he carried with him throughout his life, and his sisters, Cici Groth and Helen Goldberg.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, November 6, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. in Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Funeral Home, 11411 N. Michigan Road. For those unable to attend, the service will be available by live stream. Burial will follow in Beth-El Zedeck North Cemetery.
Memorial donations may be made to Congregation Beth-El Zedeck.
The family wished to extend their gratitude to Marquette Manor and offer a special thank you to the ladies on the 3rd floor for their care and friendship with Stanley.
