Steve Wilkes

November 13, 1954 — October 14, 2018

Beloved husband Steve Allen Wilkes of Fishers, passed away October 14, 2018, at the age of 63 in his home surrounded by loving family. He fought esophageal cancer for several years and had multiple chemo and radiation treatments but lost his brave battle.

He was born in Shelbyville, Indiana to Earl Wilkes and Lois Louise Stephens.

Steve worked for many years in Indianapolis at GE/RCA/Thomson/TCE working with consumer electronics. He traveled overseas to Japan multiple times attending new product training sessions. His last position was writing service data for repairmen. Steve had a quick wit and mischievous smile and loved playing pranks and making co-workers laugh. Everyone loved Steve - he was fun and always ready to help.

Steve loved the outdoors and spent much of his younger life boating, skiing, and fishing. He also loved playing guitar, writing songs, and jamming with fellow musicians. He had great passion as well as talent for all things musical. Later in life he enjoyed travelling and cruising. Steve and Pat celebrated their 30th anniversary in July 2018 and had enjoyed 33 cruises together.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; both parents, Earl and Louise; sister, Debra Yates; daughter, Jennifer Wilkes; granddaughter, Vana Wilkes, and his lovable adoring pit bull named Lady.

During his final days before passing, Steve calmly stated: "When you see flowers moving but there's no wind, you will know it's me."

A private Celebration of Life will be held Friday evening, Nov 23, 2018 at the Britton Falls Chateau in Fishers from 5pm-7pm.

Arrangements entrusted to A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services. Friends may leave a memory or message of condolence by visiting the online obituary at www.arnmortuary.com.
