Steven Harlan Ancel
77, Carmel, IN; died August 14, 2014 surrounded by his loving family.
Steve is survived by the love of his life and wife of 56 years, Sorelle; three daughters, Robin(Bob) Zacharias, Kim (Mark) Greenhall, and Cori (Steve) Katz; brother, Jerald (Gayle) Ancel; ten grandchildren, Josh, Alli, Jeremy, Lauren, Evan, Sarah, Jordan, Haley, Lindsey, and Campbell; brother and sister-in-laws, Janine (Dean) Rothschild and Jean (Martin) Lewis; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Steve graduated from Shortridge H.S., Indiana University, and Indiana University Maurer School of Law. An accomplished commercial lawyer, Steve headed Indiana's largest bankruptcy reorganization firm. He was a 30-year distinguished panelist on the Indiana Continuing Education Bankruptcy Law Seminar, and Director & Chairman of the Bankruptcy & Insolvency Section of the Indpls. Bar Assn. He was elected a Fellow in the American College of Bankruptcy. He was listed in the Best Lawyers in America for 28 years, since its inception until he retired, and was named the 2012 Indiana Bar Foundation Legendary Lawyer.

Shiva will be Sunday August 17th and Monday August 18th at the Ancel residence: 479 McLaren Lane Carmel, IN. Sunday there will be a minyan at 5:00 p.m. Monday there will be a minyan at 6:00 p.m. Friends are welcome to come any time during the day Monday to the home for Shiva.
