Sue Booker Bramer

August 27, 1939 — April 15, 2019

Sue Booker Bramer,

79, lost a 20 year battle with dementia and died April 15, 2019. She was born August 27, 1939, in Sullivan to Donald Commodore Corbin Booker and Della May Hummel Booker.

Sue was a 1957 graduate of Sullivan High School, and was a member of the Sullivan First Baptist Church. After working for her parents' Sullivan restaurant "Don's Place" in her youth, Sue enjoyed a thirty year career in banking in Sullivan and Terre Haute. After her retirement, Sue was elected and proudly served as Hamilton Township assessor. Sue loved her family, her friends, and the Lord.

Sue is survived by her son, Richard M. Bramer, and several beloved nieces and nephews who adored their "Aunt Susie". Rich was proud to share his mother's limitless love with his cousins. Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and her brothers, Donald C. "Jerry" Booker and Thomas E. Booker.

After cremation, Sue will be interred with her parents at Center Ridge Cemetery in Sullivan. Graveside commemoration will be on Holy Saturday, April 20 at 2:30 P. M. The public is invited to attend.

In lieu of flowers, Rich requests memorial contributions to the Sullivan County Humane Society or the Sullivan First Baptist Church.

Rich profusely thanks Hooverwood, the Indianapolis Jewish Home, for their excellent care of his mother during her extended illness. Her lifelong respect of Judaism as the faith of "God's Chosen People" was reaffirmed by their loving care in her time of need.
