Susan Bjorneby Watkins Milhon
68, passed away on November 2, 2013 in the hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana after a long and valiant battle with multiple myeloma cancer.
Susan was born October 7, 1945, in San Pedro, California to Walter Retvedt Bjorneby and Mary Maxine Aiken Bjorneby. She grew up ocean surfing in the beach city of Corona del Mar, California and graduated from Newport Harbor High School and Orange Coast College.
Susan was married for 10 years to Marvin Watkins, who preceded her in death. She is survived by her loving husband, James William Milhon, whom she married in 2002. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Dorothy M. Doll, Indianapolis; four siblings: Walter Elliot (Iva Jane) Bjorneby, Greeley, Colorado; Robert George Bjorneby, Grand Junction, Colorado; Karen Bjorneby McLaughlin (David Lame), Grand Junction, Colorado; Lynne Bjorneby (David ) Roth, Rolling Meadows, Illinois and three cats. Other survivors include 15 nieces and nephews.
Susan lived in Indianapolis for almost 40 years. During her working career, she was employed by Aetna Insurance and Kawasaki of Indy, before retiring from ATEC Environmental Consultants after 15 years of service.
Together for over 20 years, Susan and Jim Milhon shared many interests, including gardening, bird watching, camping, canoeing and visiting wildlife refuges throughout the US. They especially delighted in maintaining a large and beautiful garden at their home in Home Place, Indianapolis.

A memorial service will be held outside on Saturday, November 16, at 4 pm at the home of Audrey and Ron Kortz, 5655 West 51st North Drive, Indianapolis. Please come and help us celebrate the life of a dearly loved wife, friend and sister, Susan Watkins.
