Born in 1926 in Lake Station, IN, Susanna graduated from Edison High School in 1944. She worked first for US Steel Gary Works, then for Gary Community School Corporation and retired from Hobart Mercy Hospital in 1985.
Susanna loved socializing and cooking good Hungarian food, but mostly she loved her family over whom she doted and fretted constantly.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years Alexander, her sons John (Theresa Austgen) of Carmel, IN and Ronald (Sharon) of Indianapolis, IN, her step-daughter Linda (George) Miller of Hebron, IN and grandchildren Anastasia, Elizabeth, Katherine and Nicholas.
Susanna requested no funeral or memorial services and will be cremated through Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary. Memorial gifts may be made in Susanna's name to the IU Health Hospice, 1828 North Illinois, Indianapolis, IN, 46202. Friends may leave a memory or message of condolence at www.arnmortuary.com.
