Tanya Marie Irwin

Tanya M. Irwin, 39, Zionsville, passed peacefully in her home on Thursday, May 18, 2017. She was born July 30, 1977 in Indianapolis, to Dan and Karen Wright. On March 18, 2000, she married Jeffrey W. Irwin in Indianapolis, In., who survives.

Tanya attended Roncalli High School and was a member of the St. Jude Catholic Church while growing up. She was involved with the Dance Refinery and had a great passion for competitive dance. Tanya received her Bachelor Degree from the University of Indianapolis in 1999 and was also a cheerleader for the Greyhounds.

Tanya worked the past 14 years at Purdue University in Information Technology. Outside of work, Tanya's passion was spending quality time with her two young daughters, her husband and close family. She was an avid fan of Walt Disney World as the family enjoyed creating multiple memories at the happiest place on earth. Tanya cared for every person she came into contact with. She lived her life by her favorite saying, "Love me for who I am, not who I am not". Tanya was loved so much because she lived her life each day true to her own words. She loved everyone for who they were, not who they were not.

Tanya is survived by her husband of 17 years, Jeff Irwin, two daughters, Aliyah (5), and Avery Irwin (10), parents, Dan and Karen Wright, a brother, Derek Wright (Tammy) Wright, and a sister, Trisha (Brad) Smith. Tanya is also survived by several nephews, nieces, her Aunt Marilyn and mother in law Mary Irwin.

Viewing services will be from 4-8 PM on Wednesday, May 24th at ARN Funeral and Cremation Services, 11411 North Michigan Road, Zionsville. Funeral services will be at 10 AM on Thursday, May 25th with Pastor Brad Pointer officiating. Cremation will follow services. Memorial contributions may be made in Tanya's name to The Central Indiana Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, 3500 Depauw Blvd., #2070, Indianapolis, IN 46268.
