Tarlochan Singh Bansi passed away peacefully in his home on July 8th. He was born in the village Khajurla in Punjab in December 1945. He received his bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Guru Nanak Engineering College and was an active member of their alumni association. He still holds the track record for the 1500 meter race at 4 minutes 18.3 seconds from 1968.
After settling in Indianapolis in 1973, he worked for the Indiana Department of Transportation for 35 years before retiring. He will be remembered most for his witty sense of humor and his love for his family and community.
Tarlochan is survived by his wife, Gurdev; his three children, Deepi, Poonam, and Roop; and his 8 grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, July 13, 2021, from 1-3pm at A.R.N. Funeral & Cremation Services, 11411 N. Michigan Rd, Zionsville, IN 46077.
