Tate Eugenio

February 1, 2002 — November 27, 2021

Zionsville

Tate Eugenio, Purdue University student and Zionsville Community High School graduate, died unexpectedly the morning of November 27, 2021 at the age of 19.

Tate was born February 1, 2002, to Randy and Angie Eugenio. He was a faithful member of Christ Lutheran Church in Zionsville. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Zionsville Community High School in 2020 and was pursuing a degree in computer engineering from Purdue University.

Everything Tate loved was pursued with a deep sense of joy, tenacity, and excellence. He was an outstanding percussionist — beginning in middle school with Jazz Band and Zip Cadet, eventually performing in high school in the Jazz Band and Show Choir Combo. His competitive character was developed alongside his father as they enjoyed sports throughout the years, especially baseball and tennis. Tate was a faithful contributor to his small group that started in 7th grade and continues to meet to this day.

Tate is survived by his parents, Randy and Angie (Tate) Eugenio; sister, Claire Eugenio; grandmother, Marcheta Tate; grandparents, Ernest and Mila Eugenio; uncle,
Eric (Kimberly) Tate; aunt, Sheila (Chris) Lavagetto; many cousins and wonderful friends. He is preceded in death by his grandfather, Roger Tate.

Tate will be deeply missed, especially by those closest to him. He was a delightful son, earnest brother, and beloved grandson. He was the dearest of friends, always available to encourage and be present with friends who were in need. He will be remembered for his selfless service to others, his quick wit, and his sense of humor. But most of all, he will be remembered for his infectious smile.

A funeral service and visitation is scheduled at Zionsville Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be Thursday, December 2nd from 4-8 pm and Friday, December 3 from 2-3 pm. A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, December 3rd at 3 pm. Pastor Wes Smith will officiate.  To attend virtually, Click Here.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests honorariums to benefit the Play On Zionsville Endowment Fund through the Zionsville Community Foundation of Boone County or the Chuck Karega Memorial Scholarship through Zionsville Little League.
