Wayne D. Rinehart, 89, passed into God's Glory on Monday, May 20, 2019. He was born in Aurora, West Virginia on April 22, 1930. Wayne graduated from West Virginia Wesleyan in 1951. He was then inducted into the Army and served as a medical corpsman near the Korean DMZ. He returned, married his lifelong sweetheart in 1953, and continued his education at West Virginia University, graduating with a Masters in Science in Education. He received two additional Masters degrees from Ohio State University, one in counseling and another in school administration.
Wayne taught, and at times served as school principal, for 49 years in Ohio and Maryland. Schools he served were Northern High School in Accident, Maryland; St. Paris Schools, St. Paris, Ohio; Graham Local Schools, St. Paris, Ohio; Urbana Local, Urbana, Ohio; Urbana High School, Urbana, Ohio; Fort Laramie Schools, Fort Laramie, Ohio; and North Hagerstown High School, Hagerstown, Maryland.
Wayne loved his family, going out to eat, reading westerns, playing cards, making witty/corny puns, and gardening. He was a man of few words but deep convictions. He was confident in his relationship with his Lord and Savior and knew that his passing was not a goodbye, but a 'so long.' Wayne knew he would see his beloveds again.
