Willard W. Gray, (Bill) 77, of Indianapolis passed away surrounded by his entire family on Sunday, November 24th. He was born June 14th, 1936 in Buffalo, New York.
Bill graduated from the University of Buffalo and attended law school in Albany, New York. Bill's passion for sports led him to a rewarding career in sales with Champion and Collegiate Athletic Wear. He was an Army veteran and devoted member of Congregation Beth-El Zedeck serving as president of Men's Club, a board member and congregation president.
Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, Doreen, Sister, Maxine Richards (Ed) and Children: Jamie (Ellen), Scott (Barbara), Jill (Jay), Mark (Monica), and Jennifer (Keith). Bill is also survived by 15 grandchildren who adoringly called him Papa. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Dr Phillip and Etta Ginsberg and Sister, Bernice Golden.
The funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 27th at 11 a.m. at Congregation Beth-El Zedeck- 600 W. 70th St. In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to Congregation Beth-El Zedeck, Camp Kesem, or the National Kidney Foundation.
The family will be sitting shiva at the Gray residence following the service and also on Saturday from 6-9 PM and Sunday from 5 - 8 PM.
