William "Bill" Heavilon

January 20, 1928 — March 10, 2014

William (Bill) Joseph Heavilon,
age 86, born in Frankfort, IN, passed away on March 10, 2014. Bill was a Military Policeman in World War II and was stationed in Japan during his service. After the war Bill attended college to be a licensed Chiropractor, and eventually went to work for Allison Transmission as a set-up machinist until his retirement. His hobbies included woodworking and lapidary, and he enjoyed traveling the United States with his wife, Shirley.

Bill is survived by his wife of 34 years, Shirley; his three children, William Heavilon, John Heavilon, and Brenda Bears; two stepchildren, Coetta Rather and Chris Jett; 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with Bill's wishes, there will be no funeral services. Memorial contributions can be made to the William (Bill) J. Heavilon Tribute Fund at http://www.alz.org.
