William "Will" Mark Huibregtse

March 18, 1965 — April 7, 2019

We have lost a great one - William ‘Will' M. Huibregtse (‘Bill' in his younger years) passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2019.

Will was born 54 years ago in Warren, OH and moved to Clinton, MS in his junior high days. He earned his B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from GMI/Kettering University and worked for Allison Gas Turbine - Indianapolis. Later, he joined Eli Lilly & Co in various roles including assignments in the U.K., France and Indianapolis.

He fought an epic battle with leukemia to the end with the help of his fantastic medical team, family and friends. Will learned of his illness in early 2018, and quickly set about attacking it at St Vincent in Indy, the M.D. Anderson Center in Houston, and the University of Minnesota Cancer Center. After several treatments were tried, and other related infections and cancers took hold, his courageous battle came to an end.

Will had all his memories, witty humor, full-on sarcasm and love of life to the very end. He approached every aspect of life way above 100%, and excelled at every activity he entered: work, swimming, golf, fishing, cycling and volleyball - to name a few.

Surviving are his three children, Megan, Greg and Mark; their mother, Kelly, all from Zionsville, IN; and his mother, Roberta Huibregtse of Venice, FL; older brother, Rick (Connie) of Simi Valley, CA; nephew, Jordan Huibregtse of Columbus, IN; and niece, Natalie Tengberg (Tanner) of Columbus, OH.

Visitation will be held at Aaron-Ruben-Nelson Mortuary in Zionsville, IN on Sunday, April 14th from 4 - 7 PM. Family will also host a celebration of life with more pictures, stories and memories in several weeks, to be announced.

Throughout his life, Will positively impacted so many friends, neighbors, work colleagues, medical staff, and family members. For that we are all forever grateful.

His ashes will be interred at the Zionsville Cemetery. Donations are requested in lieu of flowers and a suggested charity is the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
