William Robert Evard passed away on June 15, 2023, after a valiant, three-week fight in the ICU lovingly surrounded by many of his friends and family. He was 46.
Bill was born on October 18, 1976, in Indianapolis to Robert and Judith Evard. He graduated from Carmel High School in 1995 and from Purdue University in 2003. He attended the Krannert School of Management, where he graduated with a degree in business management. Bill kept in close contact with many of his classmates from Carmel & Purdue & held them close to his heart. Bill worked in many roles in the banking and mortgage industries ranging from sales to training to management. Some of his best friends were met at the various places he worked. He enjoyed his job at Bank of America & his many coworkers.
In 2003, Bill married his beloved wife, Cassandra Abel Koster. In 2005, they welcomed their amazing son, Alec, followed in 2007 with their phenomenal daughter, Elle. Bill was a people person, and his love language was quality time spent with those he cherished whether that was hosting his July 4th extravaganzas with friends and family or traveling with his family to Paris, Cozumel, Disney World, and other picturesque locales.
Truly a Jack of all trades, Bill was a voracious reader and consumer of information, a talented cook, and an audio expert. Ever the competitor, Bill was a fierce Fantasy Footballer with his lifelong friends as well as a true teacher to his kids whether it be through daily homework or the teenage rite of passage, learning to drive.
In addition to his wife, Cassandra, and children, Alec and Elle, Bill is also survived by his mother, Judi Evard; brother, Sam Evard; mother and father-in-law, Greg & Joann Koster; brothers-in-law, Nicholas Abel & Daniel Koster; aunts and uncles, Chris & Linda Smith, Dan & Julie Evard, Tim & Vicky Evard, and Jim & Marcie Warden; as well as many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Bob Evard; and his grandparents, Harry & Jan Evard and Archie & Betty Kuoppala.
Bill’s presence filled a room with energy, joy and laughter. His ability to make anyone he met feel special and loved will be missed. Bill’s heart would be filled with joy for the kindness, love, care, support & prayers from family & friends during his hospital stay & after his passing.
