William L. “Pete” Rose,
Beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend died peacefully on October 19, 2022.
Pete was born on July 23, 1931, in Indianapolis to John Leonard Rose and Grace Thomas Rose. He attended Arsenal Technical High School and worked as a tool and dye maker and machinist. Pete was a proud veteran of the Korean War serving in the US Army.
Pete and his late wife Loretta Glazier Rose were members of Etz Chaim Sephardic Congregation. Pete was also a member of Monument Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He was deeply devoted to his family. He is survived by his daughter, Joyce (Phil) Rose-Weisberger and son, Barry Rose; granddaughter, Dr. Braca (Robert) Cantor; great grandchildren, Leigha and Eliana Cantor; brothers, Philip and John Rose and numerous nieces and nephews. Pete was preceded in death by his wife, his brother George Rose and sisters, Ruth Ann Picot, Margarie Forsgren and Sally Watko.
Graveside funeral services will be on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 1:00pm in Etz Chaim Cemetery.
The family will be holding a celebration of Pete’s life at Traditions of North Willow, 1703 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260 on October 23, 2022 from 2 - 5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Etz Chaim Sephardic Congregation, Indianapolis Hebrew Congregation, Hasten Hebrew Academy, or to a favorite charity.
