Xianbu Peng Chronological

Xianbu Peng, born on May 21st 1949 in Nanjing, Jiangsu Province, Mainland China. Passed away on July 8th 2017 in Carmel, Indiana from late staged Glioblastoma brain Cancer. 1968, Xianbu was sent to Jiangsu rural area in the middle of China's great "re-education" movement which saw millions of youth in China to lose 10 + years of their live doing farming work without schooling or any other forms of education. 1977, as one of very first admission class since the "re-education" movement ended. Xianbu was admitted to Nanjing Normal University Department of Biology. 1981 he obtained a teaching position at Nanjing normal university after graduating from that school. 1983 he went to FuDan University in Shanghai to pursue his Master of Science degree, a degree which he gained in 1986. From 1987 - 1995 Xianbu traveled to USA and worked as Visiting Research Scientist in both Columbia University as well as Yale University. 1996 - 2007 Xianbu started working in Bayer Pharmaceutical LLP in Orange County, Connecticut. 2007, Xianbu left Bayer after CT site has closed and moved to Indianapolis and started working for Eli Lilly & CO. A position which he held till he was diagnosis with GBM in March 2017. Till his cancer diagnosis, Xianbu was an extremely active member of several local Chinese organizations in Indianapolis, Eli Lilly & Co., especially in the area of Revolutionary Chinese Chorus group (that represented people of his age group). Successfully organized several very large performances, including a few international travel performances in China, Australia, Europe and etc.
