Yoshiki Fujimoto, 84, of Lafayette, passed away February 6, 2021. He was born in Aiea, Hawaii to Masao and Hatsumi Fujimoto on July 6, 1936.
Alumni of Farrington High School class of ‘54, he attended University of Hawaii before enlisting and serving in the United States Army. After receiving his Honorable Discharge from the military, Mr. Fujimoto worked in sales at Japan Airlines. He was a member of the Japanese Chamber of Commerce and was the proud owner of Impression’s Ink for many years.
He is survived by his wife, Jane Sumiko; children, Kevin Noburo, Jodi Yuriko (Jonathan) Fujimoto-Slayton, and Scott (Leila) Fujimoto; grandson, Nathan Slayton; brothers, Katsuji (Helen) Fujimoto, Berg (the late Grace) Fujimoto, Toshi (Rachel) Fujimoto, Tsuyoshi (Joan) Fujimoto, and Francis (Satoko) Fujimoto; sister, Laura Gomes; and many nieces and nephews with whom he shared his quirky sense of humor and whom he loved dearly!
Mr. Fujimoto was preceded in death by siblings, Natsue (Takeyomi "Lefty") Ogawa, Kikuo (Frances) Fujimoto, and Satsuko "Sarah" (Stanley) Takaki.
Services will be held privately at a later date.
It was Yoshiki Fujimoto’s family’s wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to: Feeding America , St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Facebook fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital
