Richard Ernest Newby

Richard Ernest Newby,

83, of Indianapolis, passed away June 10, 2021.  He was born in Westfield, Indiana to the late William Ernest Newby and Mary Lorean Scott Newby on December 31, 1937.  Richard was a graduate of Westfield High School and was a farmer all his life.  He was a devout Christian and belonged to Lakeview Wesleyan Church.  Richard will always be remembered for the things he loved to do most - reading his Bible, farming and spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years, E. Doris Black Newby; children, Kevin R. (Gail) Newby, Kathy L. (Kevin) Crouch, and Karla A. (David) Burkett; 12 grandchildren, Natosha, Nathan, Joshua, Ashley, Marylynn, Melissa, Brad, Seth, Benjamin, Breanna, Madison and Abigail; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held privately.
